I stayed at the Shinigawa prince Hotel for three nights in June from the 6th to the 9th. it is a huge hotel but there was plenty of staff to help me out and most of them spoke english well enough to give me the answers I needed. one of the best things about it is that it is only a short walk from the train station. while in the room I could faintly hear trains going by. Shinagawa Station gets a ton of people through it each day and it hasnot only the subway but it is also a stop for the Shinkansen Line, aka bullett train. that saved me from having to switch trains and lines to get to another part of Tokyo. the hotel has at least four restaurants that I know of. one more casual downstairs in the annex building which had a buffet breakfast which ws decent. nothing fancy about $* US. one night I had dinner in the 38th floor restaurant. sushi was good even though a little over priced but the you are paying for the views. one morning I had tried the restaurant on the 39th floor for breakfast. here too, it was a little pricey but it had enough for anyone one the breakfast buffet. the views again were amazing. I did not try the bowling alley, golf driving range, aquarium center, or cinema while there but they are all on the property as well. the room was good. two single beds, desk, tv, safe for valuables, the train station also has restaurants, coffee shops, etc. it's big. desk exchnged currency for me as well. there is a grocery store about a ten minute walk up the hill near the police station. I'd stay therre again.

Room is small compared to american standard but that was expected; very clean and comfortable. Recommend a high floor. Location was excellent. Right across the street from the Shinagawa Station. So convenient to get to your destination by just hopping on the JR Yamanote Line that runs in a circle and stops at all the major areas. We definitely would stay here again.

The location is the best. It is beside the Shinagawa JR station. It is not very crowded compare to Shinjuku. But one thing I need to notify, the class of the room is very different in different building. The main building is a 4-5 stars rate but the north building is only 2-3 stars. I stayed at north building. The room is clean and neat but it is very small but it is usual in Tokyo.

6 Night Stay in early April 2010. Excellent location.. Across the street from JR train station( take the west exit from the station). The Narita Limosine bus also has a stop here. Huge complex with a bowling alley, movie theatre, and an aquarium. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend the annex tower, as it is less busy than the main tower and has free in room internet access. Great view from a corner double room. Take advantage of the green cleaning service and recieve a 500 yen coupon for use in the hotel( per person).

I lived in Tokyo for 30 years and knew the Prince for many years and it was the reason why we decided on it, It was most desireable in location in that transportation(train, taxi, bus) was immediately available. We usd it often(Bullet Train, regular trains-both public amd private lines) to go to Kyoto, Itoh, Hacioji, Takasaki). What few disadvantages the hotel had(such as largeness) and therefore lacked the friendly atmosphere as a small Japanese Inn, all in all it was well worth it.
